Poll: Which PS5 Games Did You Buy During the Insane Pre-GTA 6 Rush?

In recent months, we’ve encountered one of the most congested release calendars in recent history — and it’s entirely due to GTA 6’s influence.
The impending debut of Rockstar’s blockbuster altered everything when it was initially revealed. Publishers from around the world rushed to mitigate its unavoidable effects, choosing to release all their titles in the window from late August to early November.
The outcome was, as previously noted, a genuinely chaotic calendar. This has been a remarkable era for PS5 gaming overall, but not many individuals will have had the opportunity — or the finances! — to experience everything that was available.
This poll (initially suggested by regular Push Square reader themightyant) should serve as an intriguing exploration. Essentially, I want to find out which games you truly got to engage with during the pre-GTA 6 frenzy.
I suspect that many of you chose Marvel’s Wolverine given the character’s fame and its position as a PS5 exclusive, but what else was on the list? I feel like we were utterly overwhelmed with options.
Numerous highly acclaimed titles of the entire year launched between September and the present. Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, Control Resonant, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Final Fantasy Resonance, Phantom Blade Zero… Wow!
We even had the opportunity to experience titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered competing for our already scarce time. Furthermore, although Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is an expansion, it honestly could be considered since it surpasses many complete games.
