Developer Just2D along with publisher Deck13 have revealed that a follow-up to the 2024 RPG Drova – Forsaken Kin is currently in development, and it is slated to arrive on Switch 2 at some point next year.
Drova II – Torn Lands retains the same pixel art style as its predecessor and continues its enchanting narrative. However, it seems the developer has aimed for a more grandiose experience this time, featuring an enhanced combat system, two main factions to select from, and additional narrative-altering choices.
This time around, you will have the opportunity to navigate a new Otherworld, altered following the events of the previous title, and encounter the ancient tribes engaged in conflict that inhabit it. According to the reveal trailer, we can anticipate numerous ways to engage in battles, a variety of NPCs offering side quests, and several threats lurking in the wilderness as well.
Here’s a concise overview of the game’s core attributes along with a selection of screenshots:
Our Philosophy: No Questmarkers, no hand-holding – an RPG that values your choices and time.
A new realm for you to explore: Discover the sprawling new terrain, the Torn Lands. The open world is even more intricate, intricately designed, and brimming with locations and hidden treasures to uncover.
An upgraded and extended combat system: Experience a refined and expansive combat mechanism that includes significant weapon and equipment options. Select your unique playstyle and skills to confront your adversaries. And yes, embodying a Combat Druid is feasible this time.
Entirely new Playstyles: With the enhancements, entirely new playstyles are now achievable. Do you wish to evolve into a Combat Druid? Or perhaps a Hunter? The choice is yours!
The Factions of the Torn Lands: Align with one of two factions offering distinct, unique combat styles. Each presents its own secrets…
It’s your adventure: In Drova II, there are numerous ways to influence the results of quests and the overarching narrative.
