Final Fantasy 14 Evercold gets a four week delay
Final Fantasy 14: Evercold has been granted a brief and rapid four-week postponement. Square Enix‘s MMORPG expansion was initially planned for release in January of the upcoming year, but a notification from Final Fantasy Fan Fest Japan has disclosed that it is now slated to arrive in the bustling month of February, 2027.
Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida – endearingly known as Yoshi-P by enthusiasts – announced the update during FF14 Fan Fest Japan. Evercold’s revised launch date is officially February 23, 2027, with an early access phase commencing on February 19, 2027.

Naturally, February is already filled with colossal titles – ranging from Fable, God of War: Laufey, Persona 4 Revival, to Metro 2039, seemingly avoiding the shadow of GTA 6. Here’s hoping you carve out a few spare hours weekly for all the incoming treats.
Evercold pre-orders will commence on November 4, which amusingly coincides with the launch date of Final Fantasy 14’s primary competitor: World of Warcraft Forever. (I’m sure that’s merely coincidental.)
Pre-order incentives feature a Kottr minion that belongs to the expansion’s new, fluffy, feline tribe, alongside a pair of earrings and early access. You can view all the various editions over on the official website – be cautioned, the Final Fantasy 13 mount might entice you to spend some cash.
Evercold introduces numerous modifications to the cherished, widely enjoyed online game. For starters, a new Evolved system aims to optimize ability hotbars and modify the functioning of jobs. The game will also cross over with the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series in a new Evercold raid.
