The PS Plus Essential titles for November were disclosed earlier this week, and I find it to be quite a captivating assortment.

This is due to the fact that all three titles present something entirely distinct. We have a notably prominent lead title, a collection of remastered escapades, and a well-received indie offering.

Dead Island 2 is the first on our list. This action-packed sequel merges intensely gory zombie extermination with a humorous narrative in a devastated Los Angeles.

It’s quite entertaining — particularly if you join forces with a few friends online — and provides a robust action experience.

Next up is Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered, which, although Lara Croft’s fourth, fifth, and sixth adventures are seldom referenced with the same level of esteem as her initial trilogy, still brim with nostalgic platforming charm.

Lastly — definitely not least — be sure to check the review ratings for Monster Train 2. This is a deck-building roguelike teeming with extraordinary beings, and it becomes incredibly captivating once you grasp the turn-based mechanics.

I understand: some individuals hear “deck-building” and “roguelike”, and they shy away — yet there’s a reason this extensively enhanced sequel is held in such high regard.
