This New PS5 Visual Novel Is Absolutely Bursting with Style
No update on a western launch just yet
Those of you engaging with the reissue of Steins;Gate this week might want to keep an attentive watch on Japanese creator MAGES’ latest creation, Seeker Eye.
The title is set to launch in Japan on 25th February, and while there’s no notification regarding an English adaptation just yet, I’m fairly confident it will eventually reach international shores.
This is characterized as an “occult thriller” adventure, which is essentially irresistible to my ears.
It centers on the editor of a paranormal magazine, who delves further into the happenings of a ghost tale that he finds particularly dubious.

While this is classified as a visual novel – indicating that you’ll be spending the majority of your time reading – a gameplay element will permit you to glimpse into the personal lives of individuals entangled in the aforementioned narrative.
The game will boast over 1,000 pieces of artwork, which MAGES claims is beyond your typical visual novel. It also presents a remarkable development team, featuring Chaos;Child’s Ryou Yasumoto as the scenario writer.
You can take a look at the opening movie embedded above for a preview of how chic this is turning out to be. And naturally, I’ll endeavor to obtain information on whether a western launch is in the works.
