The Pokémon Company has declared that Pokémon Unite will be taken offline on March 23, 2027.

Created by TiMi Studio Group, this MOBA game debuted in 2021 for Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms.

Both editions will be impacted. Once the servers are deactivated, players will no longer be able to log in or engage in battles.

“We extend our deepest appreciation to the numerous Trainers who have participated since the service commenced for the Nintendo Switch version on July 21, 2021,” The Pokémon Company mentioned. “We wish to show our gratitude to everyone by organizing a special event until the service concludes.”

As of today (October 27, 2026), players can no longer acquire Aeos gems, Unite’s virtual currency. Existing Aeos gems can be utilized until the shutdown day.

New Unite Club subscriptions and automatic renewals have been halted. Current subscribers will maintain access to benefits and services until their subscription period concludes.

A special event will commence on November 12, 2026, showcasing a ‘library’ where players can explore “specific records and in-game content.” Players can also earn unique Unite coins through log-in bonuses and tasks, which can be exchanged for previous game items.

Pokémon Unite ceased operations in Belgium and the Netherlands in November 2025. While no official explanation was given, it likely arose due to loot box regulations in both areas.

The game incorporated a Prize Machine feature, which required players to spend in-game currency acquired with real money to obtain cosmetic items.

Loot boxes are prohibited for sale in Belgium under the country’s gambling legislation. The Dutch government indicated in July 2023 that it was seeking a ban.
