Japanese Charts: Nintendo Switch Sports Resort And Final Fantasy Resonance Go Head-To-Head
Famitsu has provided us with our most recent glimpse at the Japanese rankings, and it’s yet another significant week for fresh releases.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort narrowly secured the top spot in its inaugural week, racking up over 64,000 sales. Final Fantasy Resonance displayed formidable competition in the subsequent three slots, mind you, with its Switch 2, PS5, and Switch 1 launches totaling upwards of 133,000 purchases in its first week.
In other news, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 leaps into the top 10 at fifth place (though there’s no indication of the Switch 2 version, unfortunately), while Bandai Namco’s culinary simulator One Piece: Grand Gourmet sizzled in with a seventh-place launch.

There remains minimal information regarding ‘breaking news’ from the Japanese hardware scene. The Switch 2 continues to dominate its rivals with an additional 21,792 units sold, and the PS5 triumphs in the SKU contest against the Switch 1, with the trio of models garnering 16,008 sales, compared to the S1’s total of 4,916.
