We’ve discussed Exodus several times in recent years here at Pure Xbox – an anticipated sci-fi RPG that bears numerous similarities to Mass Effect, and we genuinely can’t wait to experience it in April 2027.
In the game, players can choose to portray either a male or female iteration of the primary character known as Jun Aslan, though the male variant has recently undergone a modification in appearance due to unfavorable feedback from the initial presentation.
You can observe the change in the image above, as well as in the video at the bottom of this page. Our affiliate site Push Square also released an article yesterday featuring their own comparison image:
Here’s what the development team mentioned regarding this adjustment:
“We’ve been observing your discussions and insights over the past few months regarding our male Jun character model. We have been attentive, and we regard that input earnestly. We’ve continued to enhance Jun as we developed him and the rest of the game.”
Truthfully, we haven’t been monitoring the discussions surrounding this character since the Exodus announcement, but it doesn’t genuinely seem like Jun required a visual revision. The updated version is acceptable, though it certainly appears to make the character younger.
We’d love to hear your opinions on this in the comments section below, and we will provide more information leading up to Exodus’s launch on April 7th, 2027. Pre-orders aren’t yet accessible for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, but it’s undoubtedly arriving on those platforms, and it will also support Xbox Play Anywhere from the first day.
