Create quality games, earn substantial revenue

Konami is returning to develop fresh titles in its lineup of timeless franchises, and this effort is starting to yield results. In its latest financial statement, the publisher has documented a 75.1% rise in profit relative to the previous year, and from April to September 2026, it saw a 44.3% boost in sales.
So, what steps did it take in the previous quarter to accomplish this? It launched remarkable games.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, Silent Hill: Townfall, and eBaseball: Pro Spirit 2026 all debuted during the quarter, and its eFootball live service game also underwent a significant update.
After several years away from the console and PC gaming landscape, as it dabbled in Pachinko machines and sports franchises, Konami is finally producing high-quality titles, leading to an uptick in its financial figures.
Confirmed upcoming ventures include Rev. Noir, Rhapsody in Scarlet, and a Silent Hill 1 remake. Is there a potential for a new Metal Gear Solid installment in the future? I certainly wish for that.
In part due to its successful video game development initiatives and various segments within Konami, the organization as a whole has raised its anticipated operating profit by 39.3%, and sales are projected to increase by 18.1%.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his grasp and a passion for Metal Gear Solid. These days, he’s discovered enjoyment in the latest and greatest PS5 games while cheering for Derby County. That last detail is his Achilles’ heel.
