Silent Hill: Townfall Keeps Changing Difficulty, Patch 1.6 Adds Hard Mode
Additionally, further adjustments have been made to the overall challenge level

Having recently modified the behavior of its most formidable foe and rendered a perplexing puzzle solvable, Silent Hill: Townfall returns with yet another set of modifications and enhancements to its overall difficulty.
Update 1.6 is now ready for download on PS5, and primarily, it introduces a hard difficulty setting. The game already featured a more challenging mode known as Nightmare Mode, but this new hard setting is positioned between that and the standard option.
The hard mode demands “a focus on stealth, rewarding patience and prudent resource management,” as stated by the development team.

Moreover, balance modifications have been executed across all four difficulty levels in Silent Hill: Townfall. These modifications include:
- Resource recalibration in certain segments of the game as part of the difficulty adjustments.
- Player location is now displayed on the map across all difficulty levels.
- Enemy auditory sensitivity now differs by difficulty, increasing alongside the challenge level.
Alterations were essential for The Weight enemy and the puzzle near the conclusion; neither felt just.
Nonetheless, the recent batch of updates seems to indicate that Screen Burn is perhaps going a bit overboard. Aside from the two concerns previously mentioned, I found the overall challenge level to be quite reasonable on the standard mode during my pre-release review process.
If you’re approaching a Silent Hill installment, I doubt you anticipate an effortless experience — these survival horror games are designed to test you in multiple facets.
