Clear some space

If you were curious about how much space you’d require on your PS5’s SSD for GTA 6, it appears the response is “quite a bit.”
X user PlayStation Game Size, known for consistently revealing the installation sizes for games on PS5, has disclosed the file size for the eagerly awaited open-world crime action game, and it’s likely that you’re going to want to make some space.
As per their findings, GTA 6 will consume an astounding 210 GB:
Indeed, if this information is precise, you’ll need to free up a substantial amount of storage merely for GTA 6.
If you still own a launch model PS5 and haven’t upgraded its SSD whatsoever, the game will take up about a third of the available space on that drive.
It’s hardly surprising to discover that this is a large, substantial game; GTA 5 demands a minimum of 148.2 GB, based on its PS Store listing. The sequel was always going to be significantly larger than that.
It’s noteworthy to consider this regarding the game’s absence of a physical release. Assuming the figure is true, GTA 6 would have likely needed around three blu-rays.
This would represent an even larger number for Xbox Series X, as it utilizes discs with lower capacities.
Perhaps this played a role in the physical edition omitting discs altogether in preference to a download code; reduced production costs, and no requirement to figure out how to fit multiple discs in a single game case.
The only viable alternative might have been to adopt a Switch 2-style game key disc, needing you to download the majority or entirety of the game.
Anyhow, GTA 6 is only a few weeks away, set to launch on 19th November 2026. Fortunately, you will have the opportunity to pre-load the game a full week in advance,
