Conan Exiles Enhanced Is a Major Visual Upgrade for PS5, Free for Existing Players

Publisher Funcom has unveiled Conan Exiles Enhanced for PS5, a significant enhancement to the open world action survival title.

This upgraded edition of the acclaimed game was initially launched for PC earlier this year, but is now officially scheduled for PS5 in early 2027. Check out the trailer:

It showcases some quite remarkable comparisons between the old PS4 version and the Enhanced variant, developed in Unreal Engine 5 and taking full advantage of its buzzwordy features like Nanite and Lumen global illumination.

This is a substantial visual upgrade, and in addition, there are enhancements to performance, quality-of-life improvements, and a complete redesign of the UI.

Although it’s still a few months off, Conan Exiles Enhanced will be a complimentary upgrade for anyone who currently possesses the original on PS4. Any DLC you have, along with anything you’ve acquired from the Bazaar, will transfer to the PS5 version as well.

If you own the Isle of Siptah expansion, this iteration of the game simplifies the journey from the primary map to the island significantly.

It appears to be an extremely valuable update if you’re a supporter of the original, and for newcomers, this will be the perfect launch point.

Funcom has also verified that its other open world survival title, Aloft, is set for PS5 in early 2027:

This has been in early access on PC since January 2025, but it’s aimed for its 1.0 release on Sony’s console next year.

In contrast to Conan’s unforgiving desert landscape, Aloft is situated among the clouds as you construct a life atop floating islands, either independently or in cooperative mode. It looks quite delightful, doesn’t it?
