First Phantom Blade Zero PS5 Update Makes an Early, Deadly Boss Easier
Hua, Deadly Betrothed weakened in PS5 update

S-GAME has today released the first significant Phantom Blade Zero update for PS5 and PC, now ready for download on both systems.
It’s a fairly standard list of modifications and improvements, including bug resolutions and tweaks — until you notice that one of the game’s earlier adversaries has been reduced in difficulty. Hua, Deadly Betrothed, an optional boss confrontation in the initial primary Weeping Creek Valley area, has had her grappling attacks lessened in frequency.
This update implements the reduction for the Wayfarer (easy) and Pathbreaker (normal) difficulty settings. If you are playing on Hellwalker (hard) or the 66 Days modes, then Hua will function as she did previously.

Upon reaching the Sha-Chi Tower in Weeping Creek Valley, you can access the boss arena by descending through an opening on the ground level of the tower. From this point, you turn the corner and encounter Hua. Her grappling attack inflicts significant damage to Soul, but this attack will now occur less often.
I believe Hua is primarily designed as a boss battle to return to later in the campaign, once you’ve leveled up a bit and possess enhanced weapons and health items. If you challenge her as soon as she becomes available, the encounter is possible, but it poses a considerable challenge.
In addition, update 1.3 on PS5 introduces new audio options to the pause menu: Hit Sound Intensity and Hit Impact Sound Intensity.
You can also anticipate “enhanced performance” in certain regions, altered combat behavior for specific enemies and bosses, along with improved weapon responsiveness. Below, you’ll discover all the patch notes for PS5 update 1.3.
