Wishing you a joyful Halloween! Are you frightened? I am: I’m participating in a theatrical performance that premieres next week and we’re not prepared yet. I’m also heading to an evening of ghost tales at the theatre tonight; I’ve had a few individuals there share, with expressions as serious as a ruler, their spooky experiences. Interestingly, one experience involved me.
I was in a two-person show there, a performance with only two characters, and I arrived at the changing area one evening to notice a worried expression on the face of my fellow actor. “Have you just arrived?” he inquired. “Yes,” I replied. Upon hearing this, he turned pale. He’s a tough sort of guy with street-smart instincts: not someone I would picture as easily frightened. Yet he was. “I was just conversing with you,” he mentioned. “You caused the curtain to move as you strolled by.” I recall the hairs on my arms and neck rising, and I haven’t felt as assured sitting alone in that dressing room since.
But let’s return to games! This, as you are aware, is our routine segment where we discuss what we’ve been engaging with this week. This week, Marie prepares dishes with Death; Connor revisits a game that horrified him as a teenager; and Bertie finds himself a bit let down by a new indie horror.
But enough about us, what about you? What have you been playing this week? Please share everything! And don’t forget we have a complete archive of prior What We’ve Been Playings for your casual browsing, just in case you’ve forgotten what you were playing a year or a month or a week ago (it occurs). And now, onward!
