My Hero Academia season 8 has finally been given an official premiere date, and it’s only a few months away. The concluding season of the cherished anime is set to debut on October 4 on Crunchyroll, as stated on the official website and in a newly unveiled poster that you can view below.

The announcement was made by Studio Bones, the production company behind the anime, coinciding with Izuku Midoriya’s birthday. Deku is the essence of the superhero series, and we eagerly anticipate the conclusion of his journey in the forthcoming episodes.

“Today, July 15th, commemorates the birth of Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, the beloved lead of My Hero Academia. To honor this special occasion, the key visual for My Hero Academia’s final season has just been disclosed. The eagerly awaited anime is set to premiere on Crunchyroll on October 4,” read the official announcement from My Hero Academia website.

In addition to the release date announcement, a fan voting initiative has commenced to select the best scene from My Hero Academia. Fans can vote for their favored scenes featuring 42 heroes and villains from seasons 1 through 7, starting today until September 15. The results will be disclosed on October 4.

The final season of My Hero Academia will adapt the remaining segments of the Final War arc and the Epilogue arc from Kohei Horikoshi’s acclaimed manga. This indicates that we will witness the ultimate confrontation between the Heroes, including All Might and Deku, and the Villains, led by Shigaraki and All For One.

The anime series first premiered in 2016 to immense acclaim, establishing itself as one of the most popular franchises today alongside Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, and Jujutsu Kaisen, ushering in a golden era for the medium.

We are thrilled to experience the concluding season of the series, yet also heartbroken to bid farewell to these characters. Fortunately for us and the rest of the fanbase, the universe persists with the spin-off/prequel My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, which debuted a few months ago and has already been confirmed for a second season. Although not officially verified, there are speculations that Class 1-A may return for a new feature film, since the previous movie was not confirmed to be the franchise’s last.

My Hero Academia season 8 is set to launch on October 4. For further information, take a look at our comprehensive guide to all the upcoming new anime in 2025, featuring Spy x Family season 3 and Dan Da Dan season 2.
