Developer Jagex expressed regret for and swiftly abandoned this initiative shortly after its major RuneFest-side announcement after veteran users voiced concerns about feeling neglected or overshadowed in light of attempts to attract newcomers.

The objective was: this is an exceptional game, how can we penetrate the broader bubble and place this game on the map?”
