If you were enthusiastic about MMORPGs during the 2000s, you likely encountered a title known as Wizard101 – a turn-based deck-building game that continues to thrive today, recently making its debut on Xbox consoles for the first time.
As noted in other sections of Pure Xbox, Wizard101 is among several betas that have just launched on Xbox, presented as a “Game Preview” title that is anticipated to evolve into a complete release eventually. It is set to remain free-to-play as far as we know, although it will involve the same microtransactions it offers on PC.

If you’re curious about what this game entails, Wizard101 boasts a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, based on over 8,000 reviews. Players note its strategic combat, an engaging storyline, and well-balanced classes and roles.
There is certainly some discussion regarding whether the microtransactions are too intrusive. However, since it is entirely free to download, you might as well give it a shot and form your own opinion!
