Ready Or Not & Holdfast: Nations At War Are Dominating The ‘Top Paid’ Xbox Charts

We’ve just been having a browse of the “Top Paid” Xbox charts here at Pure Xbox today, and although they’ve become a little messy in recent months, they clearly indicate that a few games are performing really well in particular right now.

In both the UK and the US, EA Sports College Football 26 is sitting in first place as many would probably expect. There’s a good chance this is because it’s been downloaded so many times as part of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial.

There are also games like NBA 2K25 (which has a massive discount in the Xbox Summer Sale), Minecraft, Phasmophobia, Elden Ring, F1 25 and various others near the top of the list as things stand, but two particularly noteworthy inclusions in the top five are the new releases of Ready Or Not and Holdfast: Nations at War.

These games are sitting in third and fifth place respectively:

And yeah… we’ve seen a lot of interest on our side for both these games as well. Intense first-person shooter Ready or Not is proving very popular as many had expected, but Holdfast: Nations at War pretty much came out of nowhere – it was quietly announced for Xbox a month ago, and has been drumming up a lot of interest over the past week.

In fact, in the case of Holdfast: Nations at War specifically, it’s been breaking a lot of its own records:

There are a couple other games in the “Top Paid” Xbox Charts that are performing surprisingly well – CarX Street has been near the top of the list for a while now, 7 Days to Die‘s recent discount propelled that game back into the top sellers too, and other low-key indie releases such as Rooftops & Alleys have also crept into the lineup.

But again, as referenced earlier, we do think the “Top Paid” Xbox charts are a bit flawed these days. The list doesn’t seem to update as regularly as we’d like, and even when it does, some strange titles seem to remain in the pack even when their big sales are over, for example. It’s definitely not worth reading too much into the list anymore, but in the case of Ready or Not and Holdfast: Nations at War, it’s still a great achievement to be in the top five at launch.
