Last October, the team behind Silent Hill 2 and formerly The Medium revealed a new intellectual property Cronos: The New Dawn – and today, the Polish developer has displayed authentic gameplay from the title for the very first occasion.
We’re getting major Dead Space vibes from this one, infused with some subtle inspirations from the team’s contributions to Konami’s Silent Hill franchise – and that’s not a negative blend at all, right? Here’s how IGN outlines this new gameplay trailer which was posted online earlier today:
“In Cronos: The New Dawn, you assume the role of a Traveler, an operative of the mysterious Collective tasked with rescuing chosen individuals who perished during the apocalypse in the past. To fulfill the Collective’s mission, you must endure a perilous wasteland formed by a cataclysmic event referred to as the Change, teeming with monstrous horrors that will test players’ combat skills.”
If Cronos can truly deliver on the promise of this trailer, horror game enthusiasts might be in for an exhilarating experience when The New Dawn launches on Xbox Series X and S later this year. Remember, Bloober Team stated they are finished making “poor games” during a recent discussion after SH2’s release – and we sincerely hope this is indeed the case with this upcoming title for Xbox.
