“Just be aware, we are developing even more…”
- by Ben Kerry
Fallout Day 2025 has concluded, with the Bethesda team revealing Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition and an Xbox Series X|S enhancement for Fallout 76, among other announcements. Nonetheless, before concluding, Bethesda Game Studios leader Todd Howard couldn’t help hinting at future developments for the Fallout series in the upcoming years.
In a final message during the team’s Fallout Day livestream, Howard mentioned that he and his colleagues consistently monitor and consider what Fallout enthusiasts desire – proceeding to suggest that the studio is “developing even more” beyond what was shared during this week’s Fallout festivities. We’ve timestamped this remark in the video above, and here’s what the Fallout chief commented on what’s forthcoming:
“Hey, we read all your feedback – just be aware that we are working on even more. We eagerly anticipate the day where we can share that with everyone. But, thank you once more for joining us, and happy Fallout Day!”
It’s quite reasonable to infer that Howard is hinting at Fallout 5 in some way – especially considering the franchise’s rise in popularity since the incredibly successful Amazon Prime TV series. Recurring fan demands also resonate loudly regarding a Fallout New Vegas remaster of some kind — including requests from well-known actor Danny Trejo — so there’s a strong possibility that something like that is being hinted at as well.
However, the only genuine project for which we have any form of evidence is a potential Fallout 3 remaster. The team has not officially revealed such an endeavor yet, but it was part of that significant Bethesda leak from a few years ago – the same one that included Oblivion Remastered which indeed turned out to be accurate. We will have to wait and see if Fallout 3 follows suit, and of course, Bethesda Game Studios is also diligently working on The Elder Scrolls 6 at this time; as announced way back in 2018.
