Pikmin Day – A fresh yearly festivity for Pikmin

Joining MAR10 Day and other occasions like Pokémon Day, is Pikmin Day! This will become an annual celebration each year on 1st November. Miyamoto elaborated on how this originated:
Shigeru Miyamoto: “From now on, we will refer to November 1st as Pikmin Day. The initial Pikmin game, launched on Nintendo GameCube in 2001, introduced the red, blue, and yellow Pikmin. If you visualize those three Pikmin as the numeral one, that corresponds to November 1st, Pikmin Day!”
Pikmin 4 – Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy – Complimentary Demo (2nd November)

A complimentary demo for Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy will be released on 2nd November 2026. It will feature the game’s initial zone, Sun-speckled Terrace, alongside two stages of Dandori Academy. Save data will also transition to the complete game.
Nintendo additionally shared a brief overview of the features that will be introduced in the Switch 2 Edition of Pikmin 4.
This encompasses voice commands for Oatchi via the onboard system microphone. Also, there’s a new mode, Dandori Academy, where you will tackle challenges, gather treasures, and take an assessment. You’ll earn medals based on your performance.
Pikmin Bloom – Hidden Caves update (Winter 2026)
The mobile game Pikmin Bloom is set to receive a new update titled ‘Hidden Caves’. It is anticipated to be available in “Winter 2026”. Players will gather treasures in the caves by overcoming creatures.
Before you can embark on this adventure, you will require a Cave Map, which comes attached to postcards. Once you have your map, you are able to dispatch Pikmin to navigate the cave and confront creatures.
