The Halloween period commences next month, but for Pokemon enthusiasts, it signifies the return of Pokeween as well. To commemorate the season, specially designated Play! Pokemon locations are welcoming fans to join and secure a few complimentary prizes by participating in events.
As detailed on Pokemon’s official site, Pokeween activities are scheduled from October 1-31 at selected stores. Attendees at the event will be rewarded with a Trick or Trade BOOster pack, a Pokemon Go code—which will randomly alternate between rare candy, incense, or a lucky egg—and a Spiritomb promotional card featuring the Play! Pokemon logo. Additionally, fans can enjoy time with fellow Pokemon aficionados.
Enthusiasts are encouraged to dress as their favorite Pokemon or to simply arrive as they are to showcase their cards and exchange their experiences with the game. The Play! Locator can assist in locating participating stores, which may include independently owned hobby shops nearby. Each store might also have different timings and dates for Pokeween events.
Pokemon fans in Mexico can also attend a lucha libre showdown on September 25 in Mexico City, held in support of the franchise’s upcoming major release, Pokemon Legends: Z-A. This game is set to launch on Switch and Switch 2 on October 16. Nintendo recently announced the game’s paid DLC. A Pokemon pop-up store is also slated to open in London in 2026.
