This year has been exceptional for Nintendo, with titles such as and Pokémon Pokopia launching 2026 on a powerful note for the organization, and more recently with games like Fire Emblem and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort achieving impressive ratings for the platform steward.
However, Nintendo still has additional content on the horizon: today, the firm unveiled a new Indie World Showcase. It is scheduled for tomorrow, 28th October, and will broadcast at 7AM PT / 10AM ET/ 2PM GMT / 3PM CEST. The presentation is set to feature games arriving on both Switch 2 and the original Switch, with a duration of 15 minutes.
“Join us on Oct 28 at 7am PT for a fresh #IndieWorld Showcase!” declares a tweet from the company. “Tune in for approximately 15 minutes of new announcements and updates regarding indie games launching on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.”
The previous Indie World Showcase occurred in March (and once more, it was around 15 minutes long), highlighting titles like Mixtape, Toem 2, Blue Prince, Rotwood, Moonlighter 2, Denshattack, Blighted, Deadzone: Rogue, and additional titles. These are the kinds of games you can anticipate in tomorrow’s showcase.
Which major games are anticipated to be featured here? With the release of Silksong, the enthusiasm for Indie ‘Directs’ like this has diminished – but perhaps something shown here will rekindle that excitement in gamers once more.
