But what about the others?!

Hollow Knight enthusiasts have been eager to experience the forthcoming sequel, Silksong. While it is still lined up for a 2025 launch, anxiety is certainly beginning to surface for some.

Fortunately, the announcement that Silksong will be available to play at an Australian museum later this year might hint at the game’s impending release. Per IGN, Silksong is set to be highlighted at ACMI, Australia’s museum of screen culture, as part of an upcoming ‘Game Worlds’ exhibition.

The game will be presented starting on 18th September 2025, with the exhibit also showcasing information regarding the game’s creation and artistic vision.

This raises the question: does this imply the game will launch prior to or after this event? Having it available at a public museum exhibit might not seem unreasonable for a title still under active development, yet such opportunities are typically allocated for specific gaming events, correct?

Regardless of whether it launches before or after, the fact that the game will be playable at ACMI serves as a reassuring signal that its release is likely on schedule for 2025.

Hollow Knight: Silksong will become available on both Switch and Switch 2. Its presence on the new console was confirmed during the recent Nintendo Direct on 2nd April.
