If you’re in search of D&D miniatures that embody the updates in the new Monster Manual, WizKids has joined the conversation. GamesRadar+ is excited to unveil three new creatures from the forthcoming D&D Icons of the Realms: Monster Manual Collection I, which are sure to provide your party with intriguing challenges.
Well, “creatures” may not adequately capture the essence of these D&D adversaries; “nightmarish foes you’d prefer to avoid in a dungeon” would be more fitting.
This is because WizKids has granted us the opportunity to showcase designs for the new Death Slaad, Chain Devil, and Nightmare figures. These have long troubled adventurers engaging in the top tabletop RPGs, and judging by the concept art, these miniatures will certainly uphold that formidable reputation.
These foes represent just three of the 47 that will be included in the Monster Manual Collection I blind booster packs, all designed in accordance with the 2025 Monster Manual styles. Each pack contains four models, and a 10-count Booster Brick, which provides a total of 40 miniatures, is also available.
While at times I notice that the finish on pre-painted WizKids models can vary, it’s worth mentioning (the final items may not appear exactly like the digital designs, as these are prototypes) that the larger monsters tend to maintain a higher level of consistency in my experience. Some that I’ve viewed firsthand are truly impressive on the gaming table.
