Once again, two realms from developer Blizzard are merging, as the sci-fi champions and adversaries of StarCraft land in Diablo 4 in the form of niche-specific premium aesthetics inspired by renowned characters from the RTS franchise.

From September 26 to October 10, StarCraft skins for each of the six classes in Diablo 4, as well as a Zerg mount and a mini Hydralisk companion, will be obtainable for acquisition in the in-game storefront. Blizzard has yet to disclose the pricing of these cosmetic packages, but if they resemble Diablo 4’s earlier Berserk crossover, expect to spend approximately $28 per package.

Each skin is tailored to specific classes and inspired by significant characters that StarCraft players will readily recognize. They are:

  • Barbarian – Jim Raynor
  • Necromancer – Zagara
  • Rogue – Zeratul
  • Sorcerer – Tassadar
  • Druid – Arcturus Mengsk
  • Spiritborn – Kerrigan

The available mount package is a Zergling, along with a distinctive set of mount armor and two Zerg-themed mount accolades. Additionally, a pet package featuring a mini Hydralisk, as well as an emblem and the Relic of Zerus mount accolade, is also offered.

In contrast to Diablo 4’s unsatisfactory Berserk crossover from earlier this year, there will be no complimentary StarCraft Battle Pass Reliquary through which players unlock rewards using a unique in-game currency. Rather, Blizzard is providing a few complimentary emblems and weapon skins, without any grinding necessary, that can be obtained via the in-game shop. A Protoss-themed package will launch on September 26, a Terran Dominion package on September 27, and a Zerg package on September 28. Each complimentary package will be available for claiming until October 10.

There will also be three StarCraft badges obtainable for free through Twitch Drops, requiring players to view Diablo 4 broadcasts for a cumulative six hours to earn all three.

This isn’t the inaugural instance of another Blizzard property making a cameo in Diablo 4. Blizzard had previously provided Warcraft-inspired cosmetics in Diablo 4 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft.

Blizzard’s second internal crossover for its ARPG occurs soon after the release of Diablo 4 Season 10, which revamps the game’s Infernal Hordes endgame activity and unveils a new, more potent variant of Uniques dubbed Chaos Armor. Diablo 4’s subsequent expansion is slated for 2026.
