The iconic martial artist, Bruce Lee, who passed away in 1973, has been introduced in Minecraft. His family’s enterprise, Bruce Lee Enterprises, has collaborated with LogDotZip to incorporate Lee into the game through the Bruce Lee: Dragon Fury DLC available in the Minecraft Marketplace.
Shannon Lee, Bruce Lee’s daughter, asserted, “This was a genuine cooperation, and we eagerly anticipate gamers exploring this.”
Lee isn’t a playable character, but players can throw a spawn egg that summons him for combat. He will act as a player’s companion, following and protecting them. As Lee overcomes foes, he earns experience points which level him up, enabling the unlocking of additional skills.
Lee possesses a supernatural skill called Dragon Fury, which is a potent attack that vanquishes all surrounding adversaries. This is previewed in the video below.
Players will also discover “Knowledge Scrolls” that provide recordings of Lee’s voice imparting the wisdom he accumulated over his life. Additionally, there is an array of 11 outfits available for Lee to don.
The DLC features Lee’s voice lines, outfits inspired by his film wardrobe, and more than 100 martial arts animations. A quote from the DLC’s description states, “Defeat foes, acquire wisdom, and unlock the Dragon’s Fury! Be like water, formless and shapeless.”
The Bruce Lee: Dragon Fury DLC can be purchased for 990 Minecoins, equivalent to around $6 USD.
In 2006, a game titled Bruce Lee: Quest of the Dragon was launched in Lee’s honor. However, in 2014, Lee was incorporated into EA Sports UFC, leading to controversy among some fans due to his lack of competitive fighting history.
