Random: We’re Big Fans Of This Switch 2 Summer Gaming Solution

Summer! It’s sweltering. It’s ‘sticky’, as they say around these parts. And when you’re already feeling overheated, sometimes activating your Switch 2 console in handheld mode for a brief session won’t exactly help cool you down, let’s phrase it that way.

Thus, we’ve been thrilled to see one gamer over on Reddit suggesting a rather amusing trick for scorching days spent enjoying Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World, or whatever else you have going on (this scribe is thoroughly immersed in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy at the moment, just so you know).

Indeed, as shared by u/Gamingjojo909 — whom we assume is a monumental intellect — the upper USB-C port on the Switch 2 console appears capable of powering a mini fan during gameplay (although probably not in the safest manner). Huzzah!

Naturally, as entertaining as this seems — and we’re certain it’s quite effective for temporarily alleviating the heat — it will also likely drain your battery rapidly and could, as mentioned a bit further down in the discussions, potentially damage your Switch due to…science.

So, refrain from doing it. Simply observe others doing it instead.

Alright then, we’re off to attempt plugging our beloved toothbrush into our consoles now. How perilous could it possibly be, right?

Have you, dare we inquire, connected anything ‘unofficial’ to your new Switch 2 yet? Is everything still functional? Share your thoughts in the comments.
