The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the must-play titles on the Switch, and it is currently available for its lowest price ever at select retailers. Best Purchase and Target offer Tears of the Kingdom’s physical edition for just $40, giving you a $30 discount. Tears of the Kingdom is part of Nintendo’s official Black Friday lineup, but it was expected to retail around $50. Like many Nintendo titles, Tears of the Kingdom is often reduced in price, so we would not be surprised if stores sold out before the Black Friday sales conclude. Especially considering it is likely to be a popular choice for holiday shoppers who purchase a Switch console bundle for $75 off.
The extra $10 discount is a pleasant surprise, and you could potentially save even more. Walmart will have Tears of the Kingdom for $30 tomorrow, November 25, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. This deal coincides with the start of Walmart’s Black Friday week promotions. The caveat here is that the offer is exclusive to paid Walmart+ subscribers until 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. There is a very good chance it sells out before the deal becomes available to everyone, but if you already have a subscription, be sure to check Walmart’s listing when the sale starts to grab a copy.
It’s important to note Walmart+ is currently just $49/year due to a 50%-off promotion. In addition to early access to sales events, subscribers enjoy free two-day shipping on online orders, same-day delivery from your local store, a Paramount+ subscription, and a variety of additional benefits.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
$40 (previously $70)
The narrative of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom stands out not just as one of the top titles on the Switch, but as one of the greatest video games ever made. The setup leading to the similarly remarkable Breath of the Wild broadened the open world, extending both above and below Hyrule, and introduced innovative building and physics mechanics. With Link’s Ultrahand ability, players can interact with objects to create vehicles, bridges, and various devices. While Breath of the Wild already offered an exceptional level of freedom, Tears of the Kingdom elevates this experience even further. There is no single “correct” way to tackle the game’s numerous clever puzzles, which is precisely what transforms this expansive adventure into a deeply engaging experience for dozens, if not hundreds, of hours.
