Xsolla SVP states that this “collaboration marks a considerable achievement.”
Xsolla has teamed up with the telecommunications company StarNest to establish a new game development academy.
The academy and incubator program, created in collaboration with Azerbaijan’s Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), will unveil 90 aspiring creators, while also providing mentorship, financial support, and opportunities to showcase their games on a global stage.
Additionally, Xsolla plans to set up a regional center in Baku, along with specialized facilities that will, according to PocketGamer, “serve as a technology hub for Central Asia.”
“This collaboration signifies an important achievement for Xsolla as we partner with Azerbaijani leaders to harness the region’s potential,” expressed Xsolla SVP of global strategic partnerships, Rytis Joseph Jan.
“By integrating our international expertise with the visionary direction of our partners, we seek to empower the emerging talent in Azerbaijan and foster meaningful innovation with a global influence.”
Xsolla has forecasted that mobile gaming will generate $98.7 billion in total revenue by 2024, with China expected to dominate the market.
