“I require a larger weapon”

We believed that last week’s showcase of the Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition ‘Don’t Fear’ remix might be the ultimate peek we’d get at the forthcoming remaster’s soundtrack, but we were mistaken! Nintendo UK is back with yet another track, and it’s another hit.
This time, it’s the battle theme ‘Dark Tar‘ that receives a fresh upload. Unlike ‘Don’t Fear’, this one seems to have been mostly preserved for the Definitive Edition, but that doesn’t diminish its impact as a captivating tune.
It’s true, the Nintendo UK upload cuts things off a bit abruptly (we don’t even get to hear the line “I need a bigger gun”), but the powerful drum backdrop, electric guitar riff, and memorable rap should be enough to transport you back to some Wii U Skell action.
It has left us feeling adequately excited for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition’s 20th March release date — hey, that’s only two weeks away! Last month, we had the opportunity to go hands-on with the opening chapters of Nintendo’s next big release, and we were thoroughly impressed with what we encountered.
