It’s been a year where we’ve constantly heard about console prices going up (and not just Xbox), but if you’re in the UK, Microsoft is currently offering a decent discount on “certified refurbished” Series X and Series X consoles.
Don’t expect anything too crazy here, but a 1TB Xbox Series X is down from £439.99 to £399.99 at the moment, whereas a 512GB Xbox Series S is down from £249.99 to just £209.99. Not bad at all!

If you’re wondering what “Certified Refurbished” means, Microsoft describes it as a console that’s “been put through a rigorous certification process, tested to confirm it’s working properly, and inspected for hardware and cosmetic quality”.
There’s every chance you might get a better deal when Black Friday rolls around, of course, but this might be worth considering if you want a console right away – especially if you’ve got any Microsoft Rewards points to use up! For what it’s worth, this is described as a “limited time offer” and we don’t know whether it’ll extend into the Microsoft Rewards October gift card sale that’s set to begin at some point next month.
Oh, and if you spot these discounts in any other countries, please do let us know! We found them by going to the “Sales and Specials” page on the official Xbox website, but they only seem available on the UK version at first glance.
