Xbox Game Pass Premium May Be The Best-Value Tier Right Now, With Almost 50 Games Added

Well, the dust is kind of settling on all of today’s fresh Game Pass updates, and while the catalog of new perks available to Ultimate subscribers is undoubtedly exciting, we believe XGP Premium may now represent the best-value tier for Xbox console gamers.

Priced at $14.99/£10.99 each month (in contrast to Ultimate, which costs $29.99/£22.99 monthly), Xbox Game Pass Premium now features a library of over 200 games, access to online multiplayer on console, and importantly, Xbox-published titles will now be included in the collection within a year of their release – with the exception of Call of Duty, for which Microsoft encourages you to upgrade to Ultimate.

Now that Microsoft has clarified when its own titles transition to Premium — and has opted to raise Ultimate’s pricing significantly — this choice appears considerably more appealing than it did when it was labeled Xbox Game Pass Standard. If you aren’t interested in all the additional perks / Call of Duty and can wait a few months for Xbox’s other games to shift, why not save $15 every month?

To make this offer even more enticing at this moment, Microsoft has introduced around 50 new titles to the Xbox Game Pass Premium library, following consistent updates to the service in recent months. Here are those new XGP Premium titles:

  • 9 Kings (Game Preview) (PC)
  • Abiotic Factor (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S)
  • Against the Storm (Cloud, PC, and Console)
