Descenders Next has arrived!
A few months ago, we mentioned how Descenders Next had suffered a last-minute delay ahead of its planned Xbox Game Pass release, and now it’s suddenly returned as a shadow drop – meaning it’s officially out today!
The publishers say they were inspired by Oblivion Remastered‘s recent shadow drop to make this July 21st arrival happen, and the news is being announced right now as part of a Descenders Day stream over on YouTube.
For those who haven’t been tracking it, Descenders Next is described as “the ultimate extreme sports game” in which you can conquer mountains with either a snowboard or mountainboard, completing loads of challenges along the way while also unlocking new nodes and new gear.
The game is a follow-up to 2019’s biking game Descenders, which itself has been a massive hit on Xbox Game Pass over the years and has racked up an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on the Steam platform for PC. In addition to the sequel, the original Descenders is actually getting its biggest update ever as part of today’s announcements too.
Before you get stuck into Descenders Next on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC, just keep in mind that it’s in “Game Preview” form for now – meaning it’s an early access title that will continue to develop significantly over the next couple of years. We’ll leave you with more details about today’s new Game Pass shadow drop down below.
Descenders Next (July 21)
