Sturdy, yet potential for enhancement?

Earlier this month, Xbox super-fan Klobrille unveiled another one of their Xbox Game Studios roadmaps, offering us an insight into the roster of forthcoming first-party titles. We always appreciate a good overview of these visuals to anticipate what’s next, but it’s beneficial to reflect on the past occasionally – particularly after a bustling phase for Xbox Studios, which Klob has accomplished.
In the influencer’s latest, simpler visual, they have compiled the Open Critic average review ratings for some of Xbox’s most significant releases from the past year or so. Early Access games such as Towerborne are absent, and Activision’s Black Ops 6 is also notably missing, but a substantial portion of the last year has been gathered and contrasted here for convenient exploration.
This past year has indeed been quite eventful for Xbox’s development teams, especially the Bethesda studios, which constitute half of this infographic. The aggregate ratings are fairly stable throughout – there are no titles rated 90+ included here, but certainly a selection of remarkable releases that illustrate an enhanced Xbox first-party performance overall.
That being said, there is potential for advancement here, and we remain optimistic that Microsoft will rise to the occasion in the upcoming years. Despite a new multiplatform initiative, the company still has plenty in store, and we hope to see another visual like this in the future showcasing multiple 90+ rated games from the team.
