Xbox Fan Lists 13 Games That Are Currently Hidden From Players’ Libraries
The problem appears to have resurfaced once more
Last December, we drew attention to a thread from an Xbox enthusiast identified as UpstairsNo9249, who indicated that Microsoft had been discreetly (and possibly unintentionally) eliminating access to a few titles even for those who had purchased them.
The concern was resolved in certain instances, but it has seemingly made a troubling return, with the poster disclosing 13 titles (seven of which were not referenced in the previous year’s discussion) that have been “heavily delisted”.
We will present the post below, accompanied by a list of all the impacted titles and a few remarks:
“Whenever a store page is obscured, you simply receive the error message ‘We are sorry, the page you requested cannot be found’. If the console cannot access the page for this reason, it no longer acknowledges the game’s existence. It does not appear in the store. Most importantly, it is no longer visible in owners’ libraries.”
“Things had calmed down, and I hadn’t observed any additional titles added to the list of heavily delisted games, but it appears to have escalated once again. Three months ago, Miles & Kilo and Kid Tripp were removed from owners’ libraries. In October, Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign was taken from owners. Yesterday, Hamster on Rails was eliminated, raising the total to 13 titles.”
- Oniria Crimes
- Polychromatic
- Project Downfall
- One Step After Fall German
- One Step After Fall Spanish
- Black & White Bushido
- Fermi’s Path
- Quantum Rush Champions
- Miles & Kilo
- Kid Tripp
- Fat City
- Hamster on Rails
- Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign
When this transpired last year, there was some uncertainty regarding whether the problem was mainly on Microsoft’s side or that of the game’s distributor, and no one seems to have a conclusive answer on this.
Regardless, even though these are minor indie titles, it would be wonderful to witness a resolution for them in the forthcoming period – at least making them not delisted instead of heavily-delisted, so that owners could view them in their libraries again.
For what it’s worth, if you possess any of these games and wish to locate them, there are several alternative methods you can attempt. The OP on Reddit shares one option, and we’ll include another from a TrueAchievements commenter below:
DonkeyBong71 on TA: “If you’ve played it, go guide button > Game Activity > All Achievements, this will navigate you to the Gaming tab of your profile; it should be listed there. Then click on it, move to Welcome and click on Launch Game. That will direct you to the game hub where you can Install.
If you haven’t played it, it won’t be present. But no need to worry, you just need to find someone who has played it, look up their profile and access the game hub through that. I actually beandived this on July 27, and it seems I might have been the last individual to unlock an achievement, lol! Feel free to browse my list, but I’m still on that beandive and it’s way down the list now. It might be beneficial to check out other more recent unlocks, as there aren’t many. But you will find it on mine, just far down. Furthermore, you can use this workaround on anything that’s been heavily delisted.”
We will monitor the situation and see if Microsoft chooses to comment publicly – but be aware that this could be more of a publisher issue than anything specifically connected to Xbox. Perhaps it’s a combination of both!
