Any predictions?

In a recent discussion at Tokyo Game Show 2025, Xbox leader Phil Spencer conversed with IGN Japan about various gaming-related topics – identifying four beloved Xbox franchises that enthusiasts frequently request to be revived by Team Green.
During the relatively informal discussion, where Phil addressed a few casual inquiries, the Xbox leader was probed about the now-inactive franchises that gamers continue to desire. The original Xbox’s Crimson Skies and MechAssault were mentioned initially, followed by Phil adding Xbox 360’s Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey to the conversation as well.
“Regarding requests, they truly span across the board… there’s affection for the FASA catalog when I think of Crimson Skies and MechAssault – individuals adore those games, from way back,”
“I’d like to include […] sitting here, I would be negligent if I didn’t highlight Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon; titles from our legacy which I frequently hear about […] those are also two just, being at TGS, it would be foolish of me not to mention those.”
There were no indications of any of these actually making a comeback — indeed, Phil referred to this as a “perilous question” when he responded — they’re simply titles that the Xbox leader frequently encounters when talking about Xbox’s extensive history.
Regardless, we found it quite intriguing to see Phil mention these titles, and to hear from the Xbox leader directly while at Tokyo Game Show 2025. We’ll include the rest of the interview below if you wish to view it (Phil is present for approximately the first hour of the video), where Xbox’s current strategy of distributing its games widely is also examined.
