We’ve got a release date!
Following its announcement for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S back in May, SEGA has revealed today that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will release for the two Xbox consoles on October 30th, 2025.
Pre-orders have officially begun on the Xbox Store, and the good news is that it’s surprisingly cheap – the standard edition is £15.99 / $19.99. Of course, this is still just an updated version of an Xbox 360 game, but it does include lots of new features such as Rollback Netcode, crossplay and a brand-new single-player mode called World Stage.
Here’s a description for that World Stage mode:
A brand-new single-player mode, “World Stage,” is coming to the game as part of a free update! Here, players will challenge powerful rivals on a solo quest to become the ultimate fighter, unlocking customisation items along the way.
It’s also been announced today that a closed beta will be taking place in early September for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, although sign-ups don’t appear to be available at the time of writing. SEGA advises that you’ll need a SEGA Account for it, and it’ll include a special in-game title for those who take part.
As mentioned, you can go and pre-order this one right now on the Xbox Store if you’re keen, and be aware that there’s a more expensive version containing various in-game cosmetics and a soundtrack collection if you want the full package.
We’ll leave you with a few more details and screenshots for the game down below:
