It has been six months since our last discussion of UFL here on Pure Xbox, which occurred during its initial launch for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Since that time, it has transformed with numerous new features and game content across its two “seasons”, and it recently introduced a complimentary Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Incentive to start off the new month.
This update in UFL features the option to play ranked matches with two players on a single console for the first time, along with a “Skin Lab” where you can trade unused skins. UFL is also receiving the Team of the Month treatment like in EA FC 25, providing special skins to select players based on their real-world performances.
As for the free UFL Xbox Game Pass Bonus Incentive, it includes a range of content such as a complimentary kit, gloves, 50,000,000 in-game currency (sufficient for acquiring a good player!), along with various multi-game XP and coin enhancements.
On a personal note, I have been playing UFL extensively over the past six months, and I genuinely enjoy it! While it may not be as refined as EA Sports FC 25, and resembles an Ultimate Team replica, the gameplay offers a distinctive experience – it takes me back to playing “This is Football” in earlier times. If you set your expectations appropriately (it’s a free-to-play title after all), there’s plenty of enjoyment to be found. Personally, I find it more enjoyable than Konami’s eFootball these days.
