A preliminary glance at the upcoming month
- by Ben Kerry
As we consistently do around this period each month, we are examining today what’s in store for August 2025’s Xbox Game Pass lineup, with two titles already confirmed for the collection next month.
At this moment, two Xbox first-party launches are the only games we are aware of for now – including the highly awaited Gears of War: Reloaded, which signifies the franchise’s first multiplatform console release since its debut in 2006.
Additionally, while it isn’t a complete addition to the library, we have a free EA Play trial for Madden 26 coming next month as well. This game arrives on August 11th, offering 10 hours of NFL excitement for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
We will keep you updated regarding August 2025’s Xbox Game Pass titles as they are announced in the coming weeks, but for now, let’s review the two primary games that have been disclosed for next month already:
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced (August 12)
“Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is an immersive cinematic journey where we enhance real-time visuals to create vivid, believable settings and characters that pull you deep into Senua’s tale. Now, with Performance Mode, we’re thrilled to provide you the chance to enjoy gameplay at 60 FPS. The outcome is smoother gameplay, particularly noticeable during combat and rapid moments within the game.”
Gears of War: Reloaded (August 26)
“Driven by Unreal Engine, Gears of War: Reloaded is a remaster of the iconic first Gears of War, now completely optimized for the current generation of gaming consoles. Gears of War: Reloaded encompasses all post-launch content for the original game, including a bonus campaign act, multiplayer maps, as well as characters and cosmetics, at no added cost.”
