Greetings for your opening September weekend! A handful of fresh Xbox Game Pass arrivals landed over the past couple of days, among them the long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong—a title we suspect plenty of you will dive into these next two days…

Hollow Knight: Silksong would almost certainly humble me harder than I care to confess, and since it’s decidedly not my cup of tea, I won’t be booting it from Game Pass this weekend. I’ll likely press on with Indiana Jones: The Order of Giants—curious to see what the fresh DLC brings after wrapping the main campaign last December.
Truthfully, beyond that, it’ll be extra rounds of Gears Reloaded multiplayer. A bout of flu clipped my playtime this week, so I’m itching to jump back in and splatter some grubs. Catch you at the Longshot spawn on Gridlock, fellow Gearheads.

Hollow Knight plainly isn’t my jam either, so I’m set for a sports-heavy couple of days— NHL 26 and NBA 2K26. I’ve already logged solid ice time in NHL; it feels comfy yet satisfying, whereas in 2K I’m hopeless but hooked—simply roaming the City and hopping into playground matches keeps me grinning.
What else? I might cave and revisit MindsEye after its latest patch. Sure, it’s no masterpiece, yet I’ve liked what I’ve touched, and the improvements ought to smooth the ride.
