Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 12-13)

Ready to hit the skate?

Greetings to yet another weekend! It’s been a hectic week on Xbox, with the Activision crew unveiling its newest installment in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4. We would assume many of you are giving that one a go on your Xbox consoles this weekend!

Here’s what we’ll be engaging in over the coming days:

Ben Kerry, Staff Writer

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 doesn’t really resonate with me, so I think I’ll pass on that one. I will likely use this weekend to unwind and revisit some classic titles, including Call of Duty: WWII, now that it’s available on Xbox Game Pass.

I also chose to reinstall Forza Horizon 4 this week, and whenever that occurs, I always get drawn back in. I still believe this is the finest Forza installment to date, and its upgrade for Xbox Series X|S looks and performs incredibly well. Expect me to be zooming around Edinburgh on Xbox this weekend!

Have a wonderful few days, everyone.

Fraser Gilbert, Editor

It’s definitely more Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 for me! I’ve been anticipating this release for a long time, and despite a few minor complaints, I’m having an incredible time with it thus far. I’m not as acquainted with the 3+4 levels and objectives as I was with 1+2, so it’s been enjoyable uncovering some surprises that I either wasn’t aware of or had forgotten about!

Apologies for being somewhat dull, but Tennis Elbow 4 is beckoning me at the moment as well. It’s Wimbledon time, and I’ve been reveling in the tournament so far, and while I still believe TopSpin 2K25 is the best accessible tennis game on Xbox today, nothing surpasses Tennis Elbow 4 for a realistic experience – provided you’re willing to put in the effort.

Wishing you a pleasant weekend, everyone!
