Positive perk, negative perk, or somewhere in between?

To enhance its newly increased Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier, Microsoft is incorporating a few extra subscriptions for users – with one being Fortnite Crew in November and the other being Ubisoft+ Classics, which is now available. With this library now accessible to discover, what are your current thoughts on it? Is it a valuable perk for Game Pass Ultimate users?
There’s certainly a substantial library of games to select from, no doubt about that, ranging from some very old titles like 2013’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag to relatively recent releases such as 2024’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. There is indeed worth in Ubi+ Classics, but is it sufficient to justify paying that extra per month for Game Pass Ultimate? That’s a more challenging consideration.
Naturally, there’s always the possibility of this library expanding as time progresses. Ubisoft isn’t as aggressive as EA Play regarding the inclusion of its catalog shortly after launch, but more games will eventually be designated by Ubisoft as ‘classics’ over time – and we anticipate the catalog will grow gradually. Just… quite slowly since Ubisoft+ Premium is also available for separate purchase on Xbox, featuring a more contemporary collection of titles.
Anyway, we’re curious to hear what you think of Ubisoft+ Classics currently and its place in the revised Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Is it as beneficial a perk as EA Play? Do you feel it supports the price hike, as difficult as that has been to accept?
