With Xbox officially revealing its 2025 showcase in April, anticipation for this event is growing – we are now just under two months away from the kickoff on June 8th. Last month, we surveyed you about your ideal reveal for this year, but now we aim to keep discussions a bit more pragmatic. Do you maintain high expectations for the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase overall?
Honestly, without inflating the hype too much, we certainly do. It’s been several years since Xbox has experienced a disappointing summer showcase, and although it has been a busy year for the platform, it still appears that Xbox has much more to offer. It helps that, well, right after last year’s event, the team started generating excitement for 2025. That indicates confidence in the game lineup!
Touching on that game lineup, what are some confirmed titles as we approach next month? Well, we have The Outer Worlds 2 of course which is set to have its own Direct livestream immediately following the main event, along with a number of other 2025 games likely to be showcased. We’d be astonished if prominent titles like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, Gears of War: Reloaded, and Ninja Gaiden 4 don’t appear.
Furthermore, titles such as Gears of War: E-Day and Fable look fairly likely to show up – while Xbox has many other announced titles that haven’t been present for a while as well. Clockwork Revolution, Contraband, State of Decay 3, the list keeps going! And we can’t forget about any surprises that may be revealed that are completely unannounced – we’re confident Microsoft has at least one or two of those in store.
With all this considered, and some time to mull over potential surprise reveals, how are your expectations shaping up right now? Are you thrilled about this year’s showcase, or do you sense that the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 might be somewhat quieter than in past years?
