Reviving the old console? Enjoying some backward compatible classics?
- by Ben Kerry
This weekend, Xbox 360 will reach the milestone of 20 years, and we’ve initiated the festivities ahead of time here at Pure Xbox. I’ve been drifting quite a bit in Project Gotham Racing 3, Fraser has been experiencing the ups and downs of revisiting Perfect Dark Zero – everything is pleasant, and all is nostalgic here at PX HQ right now. However, we want to hear if you have any arrangements for Xbox 360’s significant birthday weekend.
The main event is Saturday, naturally — the console’s November 22nd anniversary — but we wouldn’t mind anyone turning it into a weekend celebration! Are you reviving your classic 360 hardware to launch a legendary title? Are you leveraging Xbox’s fantastic backward compatibility program — perhaps taking advantage of FPS Boost and Auto-HDR — to enjoy one of your beloved games? We want to hear from you!
Certainly, you can expect more coverage from us regarding Xbox 360’s anniversary this Saturday, featuring a fun little survey about all your favorite 2005 launch games. So, if there are any Xbox 360 launch titles you’d like to celebrate in the PX comments section tomorrow, start crafting your thoughts before the big day!
If we manage to find time, we hope to explore some more 360 nostalgia over the weekend as well – yes, despite PGR and Perfect Dark getting some attention, we would love to revisit a few more classics if possible. But, what are your intentions for the weekend? Are you considering playing an old Xbox favorite? Share your plans for the Xbox 360 anniversary below!
Let us know what you’re up to in the comments section.
