“Minecraft is entering the competition”

During the summer, we discussed Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and its Minecraft collaboration when SEGA unveiled an official launch date for its new kart racing game – and today, the team has disclosed precisely when you can engage in this grand MC occasion on Xbox.

Indeed, the ‘Minecraft Festival’ arrives in the latest Sonic Racing game on Thursday, October 9th, and continues through Sunday, October 12th. SEGA has hinted at this event in the trailer above, emphasizing that players aren’t required to possess the game’s premium Minecraft DLC pack to join the festival and discover what’s available.

“Minecraft is entering the competition on October 8th! The Minecraft Festival commences on October 9th at 8:00pm (ET) and lasts until October 12th at 7:59pm (ET). You can participate even if you lack the pack!”

While we still remain somewhat uncertain about what this Minecraft-themed festival will introduce to the CrossWorlds experience, we are aware that DLC / Season Pass holders will gain access to a variety of characters and a genuine minecart vehicle to race with in the latest Sonic title. Those premium rewards arrive alongside the festival this Thursday.

Owners of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds might consider loading this up later in the week and giving it a try, and we’re eager to see what exactly the Minecraft Festival will offer. Enthusiasts of Xbox’s popular block-based sandbox are having a great time right now!

Thrilled for this, Sonic & Minecraft fans? Share your thoughts about the festival below.
