We’ve received virtually no updates regarding new Fallout initiatives over the last few years aside from the popular TV series, but it seems that Xbox and Bethesda are discreetly toiling on several projects – at least as indicated by a recent speculation.
In a fresh episode of the Skill Up podcast, VGC’s Jordan Middler subtly states how there are “multiple” initiatives in progress pertaining to Fallout, including “one you’re all yearning for.” Nonetheless, he mentions that particular project is quite distant:
“There are several Fallout projects underway, including as far as I’m informed that one you’re all desiring, but it’s not advanced enough to suggest anything like, you’re going to be playing this game anytime soon.”
Middler refrains from disclosing what that specific game is, but we conjecture it could either be Fallout 5 or a remaster/remake of Fallout: New Vegas. Regardless, it appears it’s still quite some time before a release, as things currently stand.
He does assert there are “multiple” initiatives, and Fallout 3 Remastered is one that we’ve previously heard about – it was actually leaked as part of a Bethesda release timeline a couple of years ago. We expect that project is still in the works, but everything else remains uncertain – and we are merely wishing to receive something sooner instead of later.
