Perfect Dark Actor Calls On Fans To ‘Speak Up’ And Help The Game Survive

“Agent Dark won’t yield & neither should any of you”

About this period last year, the performer for Joanna Dark in the Perfect Dark reboot was unveiled as Alix Wilton Regan, and she expressed at that moment how she was “extremely thrilled” to embody the character in The Initiative’s inaugural title.

Of course, it has been canceled this week, and she’s taken to social media to share her perspectives on the matter – originally posting that it was “a privilege to collaborate with the creatives at The Initiative”.

Following that, she replied to someone who proposed The Initiative might be “rescued” to carry on Perfect Dark, urging fans to “voice out if you wish to see Perfect Dark persist”.

Is it likely to occur? Almost definitely not, but who can tell in this industry! Tango Gameworks appeared to be concluded before Krafton revived the studio last year, so perhaps there’s a very slim possibility Perfect Dark could somehow make a comeback.

Moreover, as noted by Eurogamer, actor Elias Toufexis also shared his views on the matter, emphasizing that he “had a significant number of days of acting in Perfect Dark that were just canceled”, while also reflecting on the “thousands” of possible dollars he could have earned and “depended on” had the project reached completion. He then pointed out that he’s merely a freelance artist, and the scenario is even more challenging for those who were genuinely employed.

Let’s observe what unfolds with this, but we’re not holding our breath for a revival of Perfect Dark shortly. To be frank, after this entire episode, who knows if the franchise will ever be revisited – it has now been 20 years since the last installment.
