Well, it’s finally happened, folks – Hollow: Knight Silksong has an official release date. The long-awaited sequel to indie hit Hollow Knight launches on September 4th, 2025 – and remember, it’ll be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Developer Team Cherry has just announced this to the world via its new Release Date Trailer, which has of course been shared up above for your viewing pleasure. The short clip goes over some of Silksong’s biggest features – before finally dropping that all-important release date.
Here’s the latest on what to expect from Hollow Knight: Silksong:
“Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, finds herself alone in a vast, unfamiliar world. She must battle foes, seek out allies, and solve mysteries as she ascends on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom’s peak.
Bound by her lineage and guided by echoes of her past, Hornet will adventure through mossy grottos, coral forests and shining citadels to unravel a deadly thread that threatens this strange new land.”
Silksong has been in development for about seven years now; being crafted by a team of three people over in Australia. Their highly-anticipated second works will soon be available on pretty much every platform – and you can bet that we’ll be trying the game out on Xbox Game Pass.
