Slightly delayed
We’ve got a little update on High on Life 2 to share for you – it’s not coming out in Winter 2025 anymore.
Instead, it’s been announced that High on Life 2‘s release date is now February 13th, 2026, and it’ll still be available day one on Xbox Game Pass as planned. Various press have been playing it at Gamescom today as well.
To tide us over, we’ve got 42 minutes of gameplay which can be watched up above.
This is obviously the long-awaited sequel to the ultra-successful first game which ended up setting Xbox Game Pass records when it launched back in late 2022. Don’t be surprised if the sequel breaks those records early next year!
We’ll leave you with more details on High on Life 2 below, along with some all-new screenshots.
High On Life 2 is set five years after the first game, where you’re reaping the rewards of being the most well-known bounty hunter in the universe after successfully saving humanity from being harvested as a smokable drug by a nefarious intergalactic cartel.
You’re on your way to a celebrity-endorsement event when a new bounty alert pops up on the network – for your sister, Lizzie. She’s been busy, too, building up her reputation as a freedom fighter/terrorist, depending on your perspective. After some secret things happen, you’re now the bad guy. Fortunately, you’re armed with an arsenal of talking weapons, which are a mix of new and returning favorites including Knifey (Michael Cusack), Sweezy (Betsy Sodaro), Gus (JB Smoove), and, making his debut at gamescom, Sheath (Ralph Ineson).
